Air Springs & Struts

In an air suspension system, air springs and struts are the components that do the heavy lifting — literally. These parts are what support the weight of your vehicle at each wheel and keep it at the proper ride height. The air pressure inside these springs and struts adjusts to level the ride in response to changes in road surfaces or load weight.

Air Suspension Compressors

The compressor in an air suspension system is what generates the air needed to inflate it. Similar to a compressor you’d find in most auto shops, it uses mechanical force to generate pressurized air and deliver it to the air tank.

Valve Blocks

Also known as an air manifold, the valve blocks serve as the manager of an air ride system. Using instructions from the electronic control unit (ECU), they regulate the amount of air that goes into each air spring with electronically-controlled solenoid valves. 

Ride Height Sensors

Air ride systems use ride height sensors to monitor changes in the road surface. These mechanical sensors are attached at each wheel and take a constant reading of a vehicle’s body relative to the wheel. They then deliver this information to the ECU, enabling it instruct the other components on how to level the vehicle.

Moisture inside an air suspension system can seriously damage its components and lead to total failure. That’s why they feature mechanical dryers that help keep moisture out and the components dry.
